We Localize Any Software

Software localization is one of our specialties due to our intimate knowledge of the entire software internationalization process. In addition to professional quality translation of UI strings (menus, dialog boxes, error messages,) online helps, release notes and other user instructional materials, we also help our clients perform linguistic, cosmetic and functional testing of the localized software.

Faster and Smarter Software Localization

Faster and Smarter Software Localization

Many companies output software UI strings into Excel or other text files and then send them to their LSPs (language service provider) for translation. However, this process is highly susceptible to quality issues because translating isolated strings accurately without context is challenging for any linguist. As a result, translation rework often leads to overrun in project costs, and worse, results in missed release dates. This is why our terminology based software localization process provides the best solution for both accurate and consistent software translation every time.

Our wiki based terminology management platform TermWiki Pro redfines software localization by centralizing all software strings on the cloud that’s accessible by translators and reviewers anywhere and at all times. Furthermore, each string is accompanied by a screenshot on where it’s used in the software, as well as usage descriptions and comments. The system supports full translation capabilities so each software string can be translated, reviewed and approved directly in the system for all to see and reference.

Localization Testing

Localization Testing

Localization testing is the process to check the localized software for linguistic, cosmetic and functional issues. Once a software has been translated, it must be tested to ensure all translated strings are appropriate in the final software. This may also include reworking the translation to fit into the screen real estate. Cosmetic testing is to check all localized screens for text truncations (due to translation expansion such a German and Dutch) as well as international fonts and other anomalies. Localization testing can also include functional testing of the localized software to check for bugs introduced as part of the localization process.
